About Me

Hi, I am Dakota Wilkinson.

I am a 29 year old mother first artist second and I am blessed that my son enjoys my photography and even following in my footsteps. Growing up in Mississippi on a small family farm with many animals and landscapes to inspire me to capture the beauty in the world. Spending most of my time either in the woods, by the rivers and creeks and in the pastures exploring nature camera in hand. I have been photographing nature and landscape for 15+ years now and expanded my art into portrait and family photography the last 7 years or so. My passion will always be wildlife and landscapes but as with anything its always a blast to step outside the norm and love shooting people as well. My son and I often go out hiking to shoot together which is truly the best to share this passion with him. Now residing in Cape Girardeau, Missouri I get to explore a whole new realm of wildlife as well as capture special moments for local residents as well as have made some wonderful connections and created a wonderful community that is like adding to family. I strive to create memories for every client and ensure every session is full of laughs, smiles and great times that you get to cherish for many years to come.
